How it works

Prepping for the treatment
- Avoid Sun Exposure: Refrain from sun exposure for at least two weeks before the treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin can increase the risk of complications and reduce the effectiveness of the laser.
- Stop Certain Medications: Your provider may advise you to discontinue the use of certain medications or supplements, particularly those that increase bleeding risk, such as aspirin or fish oil. Always consult with your healthcare provider before stopping any medication.
- Avoid Harsh Treatments: These may irritate the skin and it's best to avoid for 1-2 weeks prior to treatment (waxing, depilatories, etc.)
- Avoid Skincare Products: Discontinue the use of exfoliants, retinoids, or other harsh skincare products about a week before your treatment. These can make your skin more sensitive and potentially increase the risk of irritation.
- Arrive with Clean Skin: Make sure to arrive at your appointment with clean, dry skin. Showering prior to the appointment is optimal.
What to expect
Immediately after the treatment you may experience some warmth and mild discomfort on the area as well as a pink or red hue on the skin. Peeling and Dryness may be evident but should disappear as the skin heals over time. It is important to keep your skin hydrated and adopt the use of sun-block after the treatments as well as avoiding sun exposure.
When to expect results?
You can typically start seeing initial results within 3 to 4 weeks after treatment, as collagen production begins to stimulate skin renewal. More significant improvements often become noticeable after 2 to 3 months, with continued enhancement over several months as the skin continues to remodel and heal.
